Carla Rebelo

Reign is the curation of a photographic time capsule for the future, narrating the parts of a migration story that want to remembered and to be told.

Spanning 2017 to 2023, Carla documents her process of creating roots and carving out a new identity, while she embodies the intersectional, psychological and political space of waiting - for belonging.

During this exercise, walking the new territory takes a central role in controlling the narrative, creating memories and being able to individuate again.
